Visual identity and branding

Visual identity and branding are crucial for creating a recognizable presence in the market. A strong visual identity includes elements like logos, color schemes, and typography that reflect a brand’s personality. Consistency across these elements fosters brand recognition and trust, helping businesses connect with their audience and stand out in a competitive landscape.

Design guide

Design guides are crucial for maintaining consistency in branding and visual communication. They outline the proper use of logos, colors, typography, and imagery, ensuring a unified brand identity across all platforms. By providing clear standards, design guides streamline the design process, enhance collaboration, and strengthen brand recognition.

Key points for creating a visual identity

  1. Brand Values: Clearly define a brand values and messages. The visual identity should reflect and communicate these effectively.

  2. Consistency: Ensure consistent use of visual elements (colors, fonts, logos) across all platforms to build recognition and trust.

  3. Originality: Develop a unique visual identity that distinguishes a brand from competitors and makes it memorable.

  4. Flexibility: Design the identity to adapt across various media and formats, ensuring it works well in both print and digital contexts.

Laban kaffebar

I had the opportunity to collaborate with entrepreneur Tilde Emilie Heilmann in developing the visual brand identity for Laban Kaffebar, a charming café in Odense, Denmark. This project began as part of an examination project at IBA Kolding, where I provided branding and marketing guidance.I created Laban's visual identity and developed a comprehensive design guide to ensure brand consistency across all platforms. Additionally, I curated an image archive for the café, supporting their marketing efforts. Currently, I manage the production of content for Laban's social media, helping to maintain a cohesive online presence that reflects the unique atmosphere of this delightful café.
